    Mexican Street Tacos

    Missing your favorite taco stand? Check out our recipe then! These easy, quick, and authentic carne asada street tacos are perfect for a taco night at home! 

    INGREDIENTS: 

    2 pounds of skirt steak cut in 1/2 inch pieces (If your grocery store carries Carne Picada use that one best) 

    Marinade:

    4 Tbsp of our Jalapeño Green Apple sauce

    3 garlic gloves minced

    Juice of 2 limes

    1/2 teaspoon of salt

    1/2 teaspoon of pepper

    For Serving: corn tortillas, diced onion, chopped cilantro, lime, and hot sauce!

    DIRECTIONS:

    1. In a medium bowl, add your meat followed by the Jalapeño Green Apple sauce , lime juice, garlic, salt, and pepper.
    2. For best results, let your meat marinade for 1-4 hours. If you don't have time to let the meat marinade, once the meat is fully cook drizzle more of the Jalapeño Green Apple sauce into the pan as it will help flavor the meat (as shown in video). 
    3. For cooking the meat, heat 1 tbsp of preferred oil in a skillet over medium high heat. Add meat to skillet and stirring often, until meat has browned. cooking time is about 5-8 minutes.
    4. Serve meat on tortillas, topped with onion, cilantro, lime and your favorite hot sauce!
